While seeking to achieve academic excellence and promote the futherance of knowledge, the mechanical engineering technoogy programme also seeks to aid the acquisition of appropriate skills, abilities and competence both mental and physical as equipment for individual to live in and contribute to the development of his society.</p> <p>The Department is therefore committed to the production of qualified and competent technicians and technologists who will be able to face the challenges of concomitant with the aspiration of the country to be technologically developed, and the techicians to be self-reliant after graduation.</p> <p>Mechanical Engineering Department National Diploma programme is aimed at producing Mechanical Engineering Techncians for the nations industries, construction forms, public utilities and services. Students enrolled in this department at the ND level are entitled to 4 months Student Industrial Work Experience (SIWES) and a compulsory One year Industrial Attachment (IT) programme.</p>
